The Huffington Post fired social media editor Ashley Rose last month for her racist comments on Instagram, Deadspin reported.

Among the comments Rose posted were racial slurs and the following:

  • “Y’all wonder why we stereotype and shoot your ignorant asses”
  • “You wanted a race battle in this country, you got it! But in the end remember who makes the money in this country.”
  • “Let’s play who will be the next Trevon,” referring to Trayvon Martin

A Huffington Post spokesperson told iMediaEthics by e-mail, “HuffPost does not tolerate discrimination in any form. The person in question was engaged for only a short time at Huffpost in a limited contractor capacity and action was taken as soon as it was brought to our attention.”

Rose appears to have deleted her social media accounts.
