A Wiki page called Journalist Wall of Shame has been created, presumedly, to call out bad reports in the media about the March 11 earthquake in Japan.
According to the page, it’s organized by “various people, many of whom are on the ground in Japan as residents.” The site criticized “the sensationalist, overly speculative, and just plain bad reporting that has gone on since the Tohoku quake in Japan last Friday (March 11).”
Users must be approved in order to contribute to the site, and can rank the “severity of offense” in each report they call bad. They can be ranked from “probably unintentional, and based on bad info that seemed legit” to “hysterical fear-mongering along with racial/cultural/political bias” or “Satan.”
As of March 17, there were almost a dozen submissions.
