CNBC used the wrong photos for two Democratic presidential candidates.
Instead of Rep. Tulsi Gabbard, CNBC used a photo of Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand, and instead of Andrew Yang, CNBC used a photo of a man named Geoff Yang, The Hill reported.
Geoff Yang, a founding partner for Redpoint Ventures, tweeted the error and wrote, “I am NOT running for President.”

iMediaEthic asked CNBC what went wrong and if it aired a correction. A CNBC spokesperson pointed iMediaEthics to its Jan. 6 segment, in which the following statement was read: “Unfortunately on this network we accidentally aired the wrong photos for both Andrew Yang and Tulsi Gabbard and we apologize for that mistake.”
