More than 3,800 people complained to the UK broadcast regulator OfCom about Piers Morgan’s interviews with UK politicians.

But, all of those complaints were rejected because he is “well known for his combative interviewing style,” OfCom said, according to the BBC.

Viewers were upset over Morgan’s two April interviews with Care Minister Helen Whately about coronavirus deaths and tests and interview with Health Secretary Matt Hancock, the BBC reported.

But OfCom ruled, “His guests were given adequate opportunity to put their points across and counter the presenter’s criticisms.” OfCom added:

“In Ofcom’s view, in line with freedom of expression, it is clearly in the public interest that broadcasters are able to hold those making political decisions to account, particularly during a major national crisis, such as the coronavirus pandemic.”
