The National Labor Board ruled that the Arizona Daily Star didn’t break the law for firing a reporter for “inappropriate and unprofessional tweets,” ABA Journal reported.

The newspaper had previously warned the reporter about his  tweets, as ABA Journal explained.  The reporter had criticized his newspaper and a local TV station on his Twitter account which listed him as Arizona Daily Star staff and linked to the Star’s website.

The reporter even “changed his screen name, deleted some of his supervisors from his list of followers and protected his tweets so only people with his approval could view them.” But, because the reporter had been warned, the firing over Twitter was allowed.
