Note photo used by Australian newspaper on August 3rd is fauxtograph famously discredited on July 9th?

Boy-on-a-Bike writes: “I grabbed this snapshot from the SMH webpage at 6.35am this morning – Sunday 3 August. That photo was exposed as a fake by LGF back on 9 July… Why would they continue to use a fake photo? Any ideas?”
