Washington & Lee Conference on Poverty to 'Build Competence' in Reporting

Washington and Lee University is hosting a conference for reporting on”poverty and economic justice,” the “Knight Poverty Journalism Conference,” according to a press release posted on the university’s website.

About “40 journalists and professors will participate” in the Sept. 7 to 9 conference.

The press release quoted Washington and Lee’s Knight Professor of Journalism Ethics Edward Wasserman as saying that “The overall objective of this conference is to build competence and community among journalists who deal with these topics.”
