Angelina Jolie Scores Apology over Brad Pitt, Shiloh Story

The Inquisitr apologized to Angelina Jolie and retracted a story claiming she wouldn’t let Brad Pitt see their child Shiloh.

The Oct. 4 story by Joanne Eglash was headlined, “Angelina Jolie ‘upsets’ Shiloh by keeping her from Brad Pitt: Transgender ‘John’ claims resurface.”

The story reported an anonymously sourced claim on gossip site Hollywood Life about the family. That article, which was still published mid-day Oct. 12, was headlined, “Shiloh Jolie-Pitt, 10, ‘Upset’ with Angelina Jolie for Keeping Her Away from Dad Brad.”

The Inquisitr‘s retraction reads,

“Last week, the Inquisitr published a story repeating unsubstantiated rumors that Angelina Jolie was preventing Brad Pitt from seeing their child, Shiloh.

“The rumors were attributed to another publication, claiming to have inside sources.

“The Inquisitr’s editorial staff would like to offer our apologies to Ms. Jolie-Pitt, for any duress she may have endured, as well as a full and frank retraction of the story.”

Perez Hilton told KIIS FM he received a legal letter from Jolie’s lawyers about his article saying Jolie wouldn’t let Pitt see their children.

“Is Angelina Jolie really going to sue me? Most likely not. They’re just trying to intimidate me, bully me, threaten me,” Hilton said.

In an Instagram post, Hilton said he was “livid” and wanted an apology for the threat. iMediaEthics has written to Hilton’s website for more information.
