The Bolivian government plans to sue Brazilian magazine Veja for libel, Malaysia’s “National News Agency” Bernama reported.
According to Mondo Times, Veja is a Portuguese language “weekly newsmagazine” with “a “circulation of over one million copies, by issue, the largest in Brazil.”
Veja had “linked Presidency Minister Juan Ramon Quintana and official Jessica Jordan with drug traffickers,” according to Bernama. The Bolivian government claims that the article was the result of bribery by the government’s opposition.
