Media Bistro’s TV Newser reported that despite initially deciding against airing the graphic photo of Michael Jackson’s autopsy, CNN decided to show the image.

According to TV Newser, a “Michael Jackson friend and former attorney Mark Geragos” gave “kudos” to CNN for opting against airing the graphic image.  In response, CNN’s John King said “We’re not going to show it. We have some standards here.”

However, the next day, Oct. 12, the network showed the photo “for 11 seconds.”  CNN did warn viewers that the photo is “graphic” and possibly “disturbing.”
