Singer Courtney Love settled defamation lawsuit filed against her by fashion designer Dawn Simorangkir, the Independent reported. Love commented on Twitter and MySpace that Simorangkir was “a thief and a criminal,” according to the Independent. “It is thought to have been the first libel settlement prompted by tweets.”
Love will pay $430,000.
