Tabloid Watch called out the Daily Mail two days in a row last week for avoidable errors. First, the Daily Mail failed in figuring out percents.
The Mail reported July 14 in the headline that “One in four Britons will contract cancer.” The first sentence of the story states “more than one in four Britons.” But the statistic listed is 42 percent.
Tabloid Watch noted that the headline has since been changed from “One in four” to “four in ten.”
And, on July 15, Tabloid Watch noted that the Daily Mail misplaced Glasgow and Edinburgh, Scotland on a map.
