A Mar 29, 2011 correction on page 18 of the New York Post may have saved a man’s life.
One can only imagine the frantic phone calls and emails that resulted from a Mar. 28, page 19 story, “Goodbye Columbos!” that wrongly named Andrew “Andy Mush” Russo as a government snitch. See image above.
Hopefully for Mr. Mush, the Post made it clear that Mr. Mush was “charged” by law enforcement “with multiple counts of conspiracy and extortion” and is “not a government informant.”
We at iMediaEthics can only hope that Mr. Mush’s family and colleagues read the correction and not just the error.
