News outlets need to make money.  We all know that. But, instead of just focusing on bringing in advertising dollars, the International Journalists’ Network suggested that ethical journalism can help create a successful business model and boost readership.

IJNet cited Ethics for Media and the Center for International Media Ethics’ “J-ethniomics” strategy, which incorporates “journalism, ethics and economics.”  Part of the “J-ethniomics” model includes informing and trusting readers, creating standards and standing up for ethics.
