The Museum of Jewish Heritage is hosting lecture on the “Ethics of Embedded Journalism” October 14, according to an event notice on the Columbia University Arts Initiative’s website.
The lecture will include Columbia Journalism School’s Judith Matloff, The Associated Press’s director of photography Santiago Lyon, and the Los Angeles Times‘ Carolyn Cole, according to the event’s website, which adds:
“Reporters and photographers discuss the role of embedded journalists, the risks they face, and the ethical implications of their presence as civilians in military units.”
Thorin Tritter, the managing director of Fellowships at Auschwitz for the Study of Professional Ethics, will be the moderator.
