Pakistan’s University of the Punjab is hosting a Global Media Ethics conference March 13 and 14. According to an announcement on the conference’s website, its “main objectives” include:
- “To provide a platform for debates on various current issues regarding media ethics”
- “To promote ethically responsible and peace building media.”
The conference describes its aims: ” to gather researchers, media practitioners from the fields of communication and humanities of national and international repute…it will be a venue for an intensive intellectual exchange and discussion of current and relevant issues regarding Global Media ethics.”
To find speakers, the university is holding a Call for Papers and asked for 300-word abstracts submissions on topics including “media ethics in conflicts” and “media ethics and religion” by Jan. 20.
