During “training workshop,” a Ghana newspaper editor called for fellow media outlets to “keep assignment books” listing stories in the works so journalists aren’t influenced to write stories “based on” hearsay, gossip or bribery, Vibe Ghana reported.
The editor, Accra Mail’s Alhaji Haruna Atta, argued that assignment books will both maintain “professionalism” and “accountability,” during the workshop, hosted by the National Commission for Civic Education, according to Vibe Ghana.
