Mediaite misidentified Randi Zuckerberg as Facebook creator Mark Zuckerberg’s brother in a story about a private photo of the Zuckerberg family that went public.

Randi is Mark’s sister, as iMediaEthics pointed out to Mediaite in a Dec. 28 email seeking a correction.

Shortly after our email, we noticed that Mediaite scrubbed its error and posted an “Editor’s note” about the error that reads:

“Editor’s note: This post has been edited since its original posting. It originally misstated Randi Zuckerberg to be the brother of the Facebook founder. This has been corrected.”
