Andrew Adler, publisher and editor-in-chief of the Atlanta Jewish Times, resigned this week over his controversial article suggesting “hit” on U.S. President Barack Obama, the Jerusalem Post reported.
See here our story on the column.
The resignation is noteworthy not just because of the column that prompted it, but also because Adler owns the newspaper. According to the Jerusalem Post, he is now looking for someone to buy the newspaper from him.
The Jewish Federation of Greater Atlanta had “called on Adler to sell” the newspaper, according to the Jerusalem Post.
According to a Jan. 24 post on the newspaper’s website, Adler’s “final column, ‘Ashamed and regretful: An apology,’ as well as reader feedback will be the focus of the AJT’s upcoming Jan. 27 edition.”
