The Dallas News’ editor Michael Landauer questioned why the media is “so bad at providing context.”

“I’ve always been interested to note that the SPJ code of ethics says to ‘seek the truth and report it,’ but many of my favorite journalists have added one key word to that admonition: ‘Seek the truth and report it FULLY.'”

Landauer was writing in response to the book “The Panic Virus” by Seth Mnookin.  While he wrote that he’s all for “giving voice to the voiceless,” too often the media allows inaccurate information to be published.
