MediaBistro’s Fishbowl DC called out ABC News for its tagging stories “exclusive.”  According to Fishbowl DC, ABC News’s adding a “must credit and link” statement to stories it claims are exclusive is “overblown and highly unnecessary.”

As example, Fishbowl DC highlighted ABC News’ “exclusive” that Tim Pawlenty announced he would not be running for president in 2012.  But, the news wasn’t delivered to ABC News — it was revealed in a conference call, according to Fishbowl DC.
