MSNBC showed a banner reading “Prostitute Speaks” over a clip of French president Nicolas Sarkozy, Mediaite reported.

Media Bistro’s  TV Newser noted that the wrong banner was intended for a report on “the Colombian prostitute at the center of the Secret Service scandal” and only was “on screen for about two seconds.”

We wrote in March about a fake photo circulating on social media sites and blogs that (wrongly) showed Fox News making a bunch of errors in its story on the Toulouse, France shootings.  One of those errors misidentified Sarkozy’s former chief of staff Claude Gueant as the president of France.
