MSNBC showed banner reading “Prostitute Speaks” over a clip of French president Nicolas Sarkozy, Mediaite reported.
Media Bistro’s TV Newser noted that the wrong banner was intended for a report on “the Colombian prostitute at the center of the Secret Service scandal” and only was “on screen for about two seconds.”
We wrote in March about fake photo circulating on social media sites and blogs that (wrongly) showed Fox News making a bunch of errors in its story on the Toulouse, France shootings. One of those errors misidentified Sarkozy’s former chief of staff Claude Gueant as the president of France.
