New York Times Exec Editor Bill Keller Had Corrections in 5 of 12 Columns

New York Times’ Bill Keller is ending his column for the Times magazine after six months, which may be a relief to the newspaper’s staff.

Women’s Wear Daily noted that Keller’s columns, which have criticized the Huffington Post, Twitter and book publishing, have sometimes made things awkward for Times reporters given Keller’s post at the Times’ executive editor (although he announced his September resignation in June).

Seven of Keller’s 12 columns “focused explicitly on media,” according to Women’s Wear Daily, which noted that three of the Times’ reporters have “approached Keller to tell him he was making their reporting lives more difficult.”

Also, WWD noted that five of Keller’s twelve columns now feature corrections.
