Not ‘Usually Sexual’ Blog Post? PCC Complaint Prompts Correction

The Scottish Daily Mail corrected an April 5 article claiming that blogger posted “the vilest — usually sexual — allegations” about politicians, the Press Complaints Commission reported.

The blogger, Mark McLachlan, complained over the article, according to the PCC’s report on the complaint.  The Daily Mail’s correction reads:

“A comment piece on 5 April said that the allegations published on Mark McLachlan’s blog ‘The Universality of Cheese’ were ‘usually sexual’. We have been asked to make clear that the majority of the allegations were not of a sexual nature.”
