NYT Issues Memo on Ethical Violations

The New York Times issued memo to staff reminding them of their ethics statement and calling for whistleblowing, Gawker reported.

The memo, posted here on Gawker’s website, told staff how they could file an anonymous tip about ethical or legal violations by fellow employees and told supervisors how to handle these matters.

“Our Core Purpose of enhancing society by creating, collecting and distributing high quality news, information and entertainment requires each one of us to demonstrate the highest standards of journalism and ethical business conduct,” the Times memo states.
