Architectural Record has accused architecture news site Arch Daily of plagiarizing and violating copyright in this article, Harlem’s New Renaissance. The article has since been removed.
As Media Bistro’s Unbeige blog explains, Architectural Record, a website and monthly magazine, claims the Arch Daily story “borrows liberally from original reporting by Architectural Record‘s news editor Jenna McKnight, but at times outright copies and pastes sentences, as well as re-uses photographs taken by McKnight herself, all without permission.”
Even though the Arch Daily story was removed from its website, the site hasn’t commented or apologized for the story, according to Media Bistro.
Architectural Record’s McKnight blogged Sept. 19 on the issue and outlined her charges of plagiarism. iMediaEthics has written to ArchDaily asking for comment and why it removed the story from its website.
