Father Kevin Reynolds, who was libeled by Irish public broadcaster RTE, addressed the case and the broadcaster’s reaction in an interview with the Irish Independent.
Father Reynolds told the Independent:
“I have no hang-ups, no grievances, no bitter memories, no resentment and no ill will towards anybody. The one thing I will say is I don’t want to see anyone losing jobs from this.
“The only road to pursue is the road to forgiveness. I’m a priest, that is it for me.”
Father Reynolds added that he is “putting it behind me.”
However, as we wrote earlier this month, two RTE employees have left the broadcaster over the libel: RTE’s Managing Director of News and Current Affairs Ed Mulhall and Current Affairs Editor Ken O’Shea both resigned.
