Prince Harry is suing the publishers of the Sun and the Daily Mirror and accusing the two newspapers of phone hacking.
According to the Guardian, “Buckingham Palace confirmed claims had been filed at the high court regarding alleged illegal interception of voicemail messages. News Group, which published the News of the World until its closure as well as the Sun, confirmed a claim had been issued.”
A spokesperson for News Group Newspapers (NGN), which owns the Sun, told iMediaEthics: “We confirm that a claim has been issued by the Duke of Sussex. We have no further comment to make at the current time.” A Daily Mirror spokesperson declined to comment.
Prince Harry issued a statement criticizing the media earlier this month. His wife Meghan Markle sued the Mail on Sunday over its publication of excerpts from a letter she wrote to her father.
