London Fog announces it has found a new use for Photoshop in their new media campaign. They openly used the software to “retouch” images of supermodel Gisele Bundchen’s stomach area in order to remove her “baby bump.”
The Melbourne Herald Sun reports, “Nobody is sexier or more beautiful than Gisele Bundchen in nothing but a London Fog trench coat, even with her visible baby bump.” So says London Fog’s Chief Marketing Officer Dari Marder. Yet they removed this attractive feature anyway. Why? London Fog claims, according to The Herald, they only “digitally flattened her stomach to ‘respect her privacy’ during her pregnancy.”
Marder continues, “‘Although Gisele was photographed while pregnant, most of the shots have been retouched to respect her privacy during this wonderful and personal time in her life.”
Who knew that Photoshop alterations could ensure a celebrity’s privacy while simultaneously flashing other buck naked body parts from underneath a raincoat?
