Mitt Romney’s campaign has criticized The Washington Post‘s reporting on the candidate twice this summer, as we’ve written.
And now, the campaign claims the Boston Globe‘s July 11 report “Mitt Romney stayed at Bain 3 years longer than he stated,” is wrong and the campaign is seeking correction, The Washington Post’s Erik Wemple reported.
Politico reported that Romney’s press secretary Andrea Saul, who had called for the corrections and retractions to two June Washington Post reports, claimed the Globe‘s article “is not accurate” despite the Globe‘s reporting based on “public Securities and Exchange Commission documents filed later by Bain Capital.”
The Post’s Wemple later reported that The Boston Globe rejected the campaign’s request and defended its story as “entirely accurate.”
