Science journalism ethics were discussed at last month’s UK Conference of Science Journalists, the Guardian reported.
Some issues discussed at the annual conference included:
- “should science journalists focus on explaining science or on exposing misconduct?”
- “should the Leveson inquiry leave journalism to regulate itself or has the press already failed that crucial test?”
- how can “quality science reporting” be differentiated from “churnalism and fiction?”
