Media Helping Media published a quiz for journalists to determine test your media ethics or find if work is ethical. Some questions posed to journalists include asking what motivation and purposes the journalists have and if journalists “include, in equal measure, perspectives that I disagree with.”
Media Helping Media also proposed “six rules for getting it right,” which mirror many of the clauses of the Society of Professional Journalists’ code of ethics like “Seek truth,” “act independently,” and “minimise harm.”
And, the test included “a dozen rules on accuracy,” which advise on fact checking.
