The Hollywood Reporter wrongly attributed comments from a parody Twitter account to The New York Times public editor.
We wrote earlier this week about the parody Twitter account purporting to be Times public editor Arthur Brisbane. The account has since been suspended.
The New York Post unpublished the fake Brisbane comments and later posted an “Errant Tweet” notice explaining that the comments weren’t actually from Brisbane. In that note, the Post wrote that The Hollywood Reporter had also wrongly used the parody tweets.
We’ve written to The Hollywood Reporter seeking a correction and will update with any response.
