The Center for Journalism Ethics’ Stephen JA Ward composed list of “five principles for teaching journalism ethics in the digital age” in a recent post for PBS Media Shift.
Among the tips, Ward advised professors “start from the students’ media world” and “begin by discussing how they experience and use media,” instead of pushing “‘the laws’ of journalism ethics.”
Ward also recommended contextualizing ethics by thinking critically and globally.
