UK print regulatory body the Press Complaints Commission stated that three New Statesman blog posts were inaccurate, Journalism.co.uk reported. The Sept. 30, 2010, Oct. 2, 2010, and June 7, 2011 blogs commented on UK Parliament member “Louise Mensch and her alleged views on US politician Sarah Palin.”
Mensch filed a complaint with the commission claiming the posts were inaccurate and “misleadingly portrayed her ‘as a cheerleader for Sarah Palin and the Tea Party.'”
As opposed to having New Statesman run a correction, the PCC decided that Mensch should take the New Statesman’s offer to write a response on the site.
