The London College of Business claims Sky News’s report about the college is libelous and that the university will take legal action, the Guardian’s Roy Greenslade reported.
According to the March 29 Sky News story, “‘Highly Trusted’ College in Immigration Scam,” Sky News claimed that the college was selling diplomas from the university.
The report reads in part:
“The investigation discovered that diploma certificates and dissertations were for sale inside the premises of the London College of Business in Barkin….It should take nine months to get a postgraduate diploma from the college but a man who claimed to be its marketing consultant has been secretly filmed by Sky News telling students they can have one in a week if they pay him £1,000.”
However, the college claims the person allegedly selling the diplomas isn’t an employee or under “contractual relationship,” according to the Guardian.
