Univ. of Washington Wants a Media Ethics Professor

The University of Washington’s Department of Communications is looking for “full-time tenure-track Assistant Professor who focuses on journalism and communication ethics in a digital age,” according to a recent job alert. The job posting reads:

“The ideal candidate would have a sophisticated understanding of ethical issues that arise in both legacy and digital journalistic practice, as well as the capacity to examine journalism ethics within the framework of a broad-based communication program.”

Applicants should “have earned or be close to completion of a Ph.D. in communication, mass communication or a closely related discipline.”  The professor job starts Sept. 16, 2013 and will include research, teaching an supervision.
